On a quiet morning
the light, fleeting breeze
whispers realities of distant pasts
rekindling that feeling again.
I can’t tell you what brings me there,
why I relive this fragile moment,
or what I seek in doing so…
I only know it must be this way.
They say fire is necessary.
It cleans everything and leaves it raw,
and ready for new life to surge from the ashes.
The fire comes for us.
It burns deep
plunging into unseen depths,
devouring it all:
the good and the buried shadows we hide.
That red, living, breathing flame
undoes all to remake it anew,
stronger, bolder, unshackled,
spreading freedom in its wake:
the freedom to be oneself as never before.
A new self is born.
In the depths of the embers
the solid foundations are forged
of new worlds,
where everything rises again,
daring, electric, and alive.
Just a small reflection on our ability to fill our subconscious with all the events that surround us.
I don’t subscribe to the notion that life happens to us. Instead, I believe we can shape our own destinies.
That’s the essence of this reflection: burning away the unhealthy remnants of the past.
With the painful memories reduced to smoke and embers, we lay new foundations to rebuild ourselves into who we were always meant to be: a stronger, wiser version.
We possess the potential to achieve any goal we set, if only we harness the power of our minds.
