Peach

In the realm of longing, a tale I shall weave,

Of a fruit divine, a peach, that lips doth conceive.

A man, a mystery, his allure untold,

His lips, like a peach, a treasure to behold.

Oh, the peach, a marvel, in its delicate guise,

With a skin so inviting, it beckons, it sighs.

Yet its surface, so guarded, as hard as can be,

Like the lips of this man, so distant from me.

But dare I venture closer, to caress its sheen,

To taste its essence and reveal what’s unseen.

For beneath that firm surface, a secret’s embrace,

A softness, a warmth, inviting to chase.

And when my lips touch it, a symphony awakes,

Senses explode as the sweet taste overtakes.

At the moment we mingle, a fusion of delight,

I melt into sensations, lost in pure rapture’s flight.

The sweetness envelops, intoxicating my soul,

As I savor the nectar that makes me feel whole.

Oh, let it never end, this bliss I have found,

As lips meet a peach, love’s magic unbound.

In the metaphorical dance of desire’s embrace,

The peach and his lips create a heavenly space.

For the peach, like his lips, holds secrets untold,

A taste of heaven, a sensation to behold.

Is it possible to love someone without knowing them? Just seeing their lips and wanting to melt into them, touching them with soft caresses, feeling them, tasting without limits…
This is the idea I had when I met the man who was going to become my husband. I met him for three days on a trip he made to my home country of Bulgaria. And I couldn’t get him out of my head.

This poem reflects the thoughts going through my head while on the third day, he politely told me that “our thing” couldn’t be for many reasons.
Thank goodness I fell madly in love and didn’t hear a word of what he was saying to me at that moment.

I got lost in his lips…
